Exception Requests

DPH workforce members may have business-related reasons to deviate from DPH's standard IT Security protocols. Any request to deviate from standard IT Security and Privacy measures must be approved. Any request must have a legitimate business justification in order to be approved.

Encryption Bypass Form

DPH workforce members may need to engage by email with individuals that do not have the ability to receive encrypted messages.  If you have a business need to bypass DPH’s email encryption, complete the Encryption Bypass Form and send it to datasharing@sfdph.org. 

 

OCPA will review the request and may contact you with any questions before approving or denying the request.

 

If approved, you will submit a Service Now ticket at sfdph@service-now.com with the approved form.

 

Encryption bypass cannot be used when sending protected health information or any other confidential information.

Specification Deviation Request Form

DPH workforce members may have the need to use software or hardware that deviates from DPH’s standards or is not supported by DPH IT.  Specification deviation requests must be approved by OCPA and IT Security before purchasing or installing any software or hardware.

 

Complete the Specification Deviation Request Form and submit it to datasharing@sfdph.org.  The form will be reviewed by OCPA and IT Security, either of which may contact you with questions before approving or denying the form. 

 

If approved, you will submit a Service Now ticket at sfdph@service-now.com with the approved form.

Third Party Email Request Form

DPH workforce members who have a business need to use third party email may request access by completing the Third Party Email Request Form and sending it to datasharing@sfdph.org.

 

OCPA will review the request and may contact you with any questions before approving or denying the request.
