Soha Abdou Agina
Soha Abdou Agina is the program supervisor of the Tenderloin Community and Arab Families Program, led by Chinatown Community Development Center. She has worked extensively in the Tenderloin neighborhood to increase language access and support for Arab families. Soha graduated from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, with a master’s degree in environmental economics, as well as a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Egypt. Soha emigrated here from Egypt and received an Immigrant Leadership Award from the San Francisco Immigrant Rights Commission in 2021, and was acknowledged by Mayor London

She has worked extensively in the Tenderloin neighborhood to increase language access and support for Arab families. Soha graduated from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, with a master’s degree in environmental economics, as well as a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Egypt. Soha emigrated here from Egypt and received an Immigrant Leadership Award from the San Francisco Immigrant Rights Commission in 2021, and was acknowledged by Mayor London Breed for her efforts at the First and Second Annual City Hall Ramadan-Iftar in 2023. On behalf of the broader multi-ethnic Muslim community members in the city, she co-wrote an op-ed in the San Francisco Examiner titled, “What the Muslim Community Means to San Francisco,” which highlighted the holy month of Ramadan and the Arab/Muslim population in San Francisco. As a native Arabic speaker, Soha is skilled in dealing with the culture and has a wide community network and extensive experience in translation, interpretation, case management, and domestic violence resolution. Fluent in Arabic and English, Soha is linguistically and culturally competent to serve our targeted population, and our immigrant communities in general. She is a mother of two boys who are the light of her heart and eyes.
