Born and raised in the New Jersey suburbs outside Philadelphia, Scott attended Georgetown University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with dual majors in Government and Philosophy. After graduation, Scott briefly worked for the House Foreign Affairs Committee before transitioning to electoral politics.

In 2022, Scott left political campaigns behind and moved across the country to join the Office of Cannabis. Scott resides in Oakland, and enjoys trips to the movie theater and engaging in his long list of hobbies.
