Community Youth Center (CYC) Executive Director Sarah Wan has dedicated her career to improving the lives of young people in San Francisco. Her work has focused on youth and leadership development, gang violence and juvenile delinquency prevention. Over the years, Sarah has been appointed to serve on City Commissions, including the Juvenile Justice Commission (2009 to 2013) and the Commission on the Environment (2003 to present.) In addition, Sarah has also dedicated her time to serving on a number of nonprofit community boards and presently, she is the co-chair of the API Council, a

Sarah’s experience as an immigrant in a challenging environment has instilled in her a deep sense of commitment to community service, devoting her career to implementing innovative programs that positively impact the future of our youths.
