Nicky Calma (aka Tita Aida) has worked with the San Francisco Community Health Center (SFCHC) and its predecessor organization, API Wellness, for the past 28 years. Her life has been dedicated to raising HIV awareness in the trans & API communities. Aside from SFCHC, she has organized many clubs and events, and she is also a member of the “Ladies of Asia SF” at the world famous restaurant, Asia SF.

Ms. Calma created the persona “Tita Aida” (Tagalog for “Aunty AIDS”) in the early 90’s specifically to de-stigmatize and break the silence surrounding the epidemic of HIV/AIDS
