TAJA's Coalition
Michelle’s journey started at age 16, volunteering for the HRC in Miami, Florida during the fight for LGBTQIA equality. She believed that being a woman of color and a trans woman, it was important for her to become as involved in environmental change for her community as possible. She decided to dedicate her education and study to the field of psychology in order to be of greater service to the community.
Currently, Michelle is working with organizations that are geared towards serving the community and providing resources necessary for community improvement. In her current position with

Currently, Michelle is working with organizations that are geared towards serving the community and providing resources necessary for community improvement. In her current position with the TAJA Coalition, she uses the skills and experiences she’s gained to assist the community directly. Michelle has been appointed to the Trans Advisory Committee (TAC) and the OCOH (Our City, Our Home) Oversight Committee. On the OCOH and the TAC, she lends her years of experience to serve the community and give as diverse a perspective as possible.
