Leonard Poggio
Lt. Leonard Poggio was appointed to the Law Enforcement Representative seat of the San Francisco Entertainment Commission by Mayor London Breed in April 2024. Leonard is a Lieutenant with the San Francisco Police Department, having joined the department in 2002. He has experience working throughout the city in different assignments ranging from being a patrol/foot beat officer to investigations. He also served as the Event/Permit Sergeant assigned to Tenderloin Station where he oversaw permits and events occurring throughout the district. In all of these assignments, he regularly interacted

Leonard was born, raised and currently lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children. Leonard attended San Francisco public schools from elementary through high school and graduated from Lowell High School. He later earned a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from the University of San Francisco and Master of Public Administration degree from Marist College (NY).
Leonard is passionate about collaboratively and equitably making San Francisco a safe place to live, visit, work, and enjoy. He is fluent in Spanish and actively volunteers as a coach for various sports leagues serving all children of San Francisco.
