Julie Fallon

Julie Fallon holds the Director of Human Resources position at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Hotel. She provides strategic Human Resources leadership for a workforce of approximately 1000 people that make the San Francisco Marriott Marquis a great place to work and a great place to stay. 



She has been an instrumental part of a pioneering team that changed the service strategy in the hotel over the last three years and earned her the award for Marriott’s HR Leader of the Year for the Western Region in 2015. She has successfully driven the Human Resource function’s transformation over the last 13 years at the Marriott Marquis as well as developed an expertise in labor relations and working with collective bargaining agreements.



As a member of the company’s Emerging Leader Program, Julie has developed a reputation for being an essential business partner, a balanced leader, and is the go-to person for her General Manager and the Executive Team.  She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Sociology, holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. She is actively engaged in workforce development programs with the Hotel Council of San Francisco, the Equity and Inclusion in Hospitality Program and the Bay View Hunter’s Point YMCA culinary training program.  She also supports the City College of San Francisco and the National Academy Foundation Hospitality programs in San Francisco High Schools with career readiness activities.
