Janine Shiota is a producer, writer, and project coordinator working within arts and entertainment. A San Francisco native with a background in theater, film, writing, production, and the built environment, her projects have often blurred boundaries between the disciplines; blending visual arts, dance, poetry, film, music, sculpture, photography, technology, design, sprinkled with philanthropy, advocacy and social engagement.
Her work has forged partnerships with an array of non-profits, educational, and philanthropic organizations with endeavors recognized by the SF Mayor’s Office and the
