Janet Allen-Williams
Janet Allen-Williams was born and raised in San Francisco, earned her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies from St. Mary’s College and has worked at various law firms throughout San Francisco. She joined the UCSF Department of Neurology in 2015. Transitioning from a career as a paralegal into the field of medicine and science has been an opportunity for her to fuel her passion for justice and healthy communities. Janet is committed to amplifying the voices of those in underserved communities, advocating for positive change and more choices.

Janet’s advocacy and commitment to justice extends across the UCSF community and beyond. She is a proud member of the Black Caucus at UCSF, volunteering as a Steering Committee member, and was recently appointed to the Citizen’s Committee on Community Development for the City & County of San Francisco which provides input on the City's HUD community development grants and policies.
