Raised in Long Beach, California, Evelin moved to the bay area to attend San Francisco State University (SFSU) where she earned her Bachelor’s in Anthropology.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the California State University East Bay.  After graduating from SFSU, Evelin trained as a Spanish-English court interpreter at SFSU College of Extended Learning and volunteered as an interpreter in political asylum cases with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights for several years.

In 2014, she joined the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco as a bilingual client advocate, helping Spanish speaking clients with eviction defense, family law, probate, and tax law matters.  After which she became an analyst and domestic violence restraining order specialist with the Self-Help Center of the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda.  In addition to this experience, Evelin was a legal assistant at two employment law firms representing plaintiffs in their individual and class claims against large tech companies.

When not obsessing about cannabis laws and culture, you will find Evelin exploring local eateries, cooking, or attending local concerts and wrestling events.
