Christine Mauia is a resilient and compassionate advocate dedicated to uplifting underrepresented communities and giving a voice to the voiceless. Following the loss of her beloved husband, Taupolo “Jaytee” Mauia, to stomach cancer in 2018, Christine transformed her grief into a powerful force for change. She took on the leadership of AMU (All My Usos), an organization founded by Jaytee and his usos (Samoan word for brother), to continue his legacy and vital community work.

AMU's mission is to provide resources and support to under-resourced and marginalized communities, with a specific focus on serving Pacific Islander families in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. The organization offers a range of services for Pacific Islanders, including regular blood drives, support for cancer patients and families, Thanksgiving food basket donations, and crisis response services for grieving families. Notably, AMU hosts the beloved Family Day BBQ, a family-friendly event featuring live entertainment, valuable resources, giveaways, and the opportunity for quality time together.
Christine also initiated the Ribbon of HOPE program, providing support to families battling cancer by rallying financial assistance from the wider community and personally delivering care packages to Warrior Families. Under her leadership, AMU has grown significantly, expanding its team and establishing vital programs and services for the community.
In addition to her work with AMU, Christine has served the community in various capacities within our community. Her dedication and passion for advocacy, combined with her deep understanding of the needs of underrepresented communities, position Christine Mauia as an unstoppable force for positive change. Her profound impact on the lives of overlooked families stands as a testament to her enduring commitment to creating a more equitable and compassionate world.
