I am a native San Franciscan, a child of the summer of love. My mother was a German Jew my father African American and Lakota Sioux. I am black, and my pronouns are she\he, gender non-conforming. I have spent the last 20 years fighting for the rights of the most marginalized since returning to the bay . My partner and I spent the first 8 years in the city navigating the perils of the SRO's in the Mission, having to fight bad landlords, musical rooming, bed bug infestations, just to name a few on a long list of violations. I organized and successfully sued three of SF's worst slumlords. Over the years my work progressed from community organizing for tenants' rights to women's health equity, to providing drug overdose prevention and Narcan training. In early 2022 I had the great honor of co-founding and serving as the Managing Site Director of  Taimon Booten, the nation's first Navigation Center to serve transgender, gender non-conforming, and cis-women who engage in sex work. I was appointed by the Board of Supervisors to Seat 3 on 7/18/2022 for a term to end 7/1/2023. I appreciate this opportunity and hope my voice can assist with real change.

Update: With the establishment of the Homelessness Oversight Commission, SMC membership was extended by operation of law on 4/17/23 to 4/17/24.
