Andrew Zverina is Senior Inspector with the Entertainment Commission. Originally a Detroit native, Andrew moved west and soon graduated with a bachelors in music with an emphasis on percussion performance from Humboldt State University. Andrew has since had a wide array of experience within the arts and entertainment from booking and performing at venues from L.A. to Seattle, sharing stages with acts like Big Business and members of Parliament Funkadelic while later working in set design and construction in a variety of Theater, Photo and Film productions here in San Francisco. Andrew Zverina is Senior Inspector with the Entertainment Commission. Originally a Detroit native, Andrew moved west and soon graduated with a bachelors in music with an emphasis on percussion performance from Humboldt State University. Andrew has since had a wide array of experience within the arts and entertainment from booking and performing at venues from L.A. to Seattle, sharing stages with acts like Big Business and members of Parliament Funkadelic while later working in set design and construction in a variety of Theater, Photo and Film productions here in San Francisco. A passion for music has led to numerous independent releases, along with a fruitful private teaching career while also participating within the many vibrant world cultural drum and dance communities throughout California. Outside of music, Andrew enjoys the natural beauty the SF bay and surrounding areas have to offer, often hiking, camping and backpacking. As a staff member, Andrew believes that communication, understanding and empathy are paramount to a successful, healthy and happy community. He is proud of his position in being able to help ensure those principles in the communities of San Francisco.
