Allen Harven
Allen Harven was born in San Francisco in 1975 and grew up in the Western Addition. He went to school in the Fillmore. When Allen lost his mother at 11 years old, he was put into foster care. At 14 years old, he ran away from his foster care placement and began living on the street. He was first arrested at 16 years old and spent the next few years going in and out of jail. Allen first went to prison in 1998 on drug charges. Then went in and out of prison for the remainder of his twenties and most of his thirties. During this time he continued to use drugs. After going to treatment 4 times

After going to treatment 4 times, Allen finally got clean in 2015 and has been clean and sober ever since. Today, Allen works as a Case Manager at the Positive Directions TRP Academy. He and his wife are currently raising his sister’s son. He wants to make sure that his nephew has a stable home life – something he did not have as a child. Allen’s commitment to change and helping his people in the community is evident in all he does.
