About the community grants RFP
Community grants, also known as "addbacks," are funds from city budget amendments by the Board of Supervisors. Supervisors set aside these funds for programs in their districts.
For 2024, the Board of Supervisors provided a pool of funds to DCYF for types of programs that weren't funded in our 2024-29 RFP. We award these funds through a competitive request for proposals.
We are accepting proposals for the following types of programs:
- Literacy supports in District 6
- Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and environmental sustainability (citywide)
- Identity formation in Districts 9 and 10
- Youth workforce development for transitional age youth/young adults (citywide)
Proposals must be submitted by Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 5:00PM.
This solicitation can be viewed on the City’s Supplier Portal.
