JAM Permit program extended through March 2023

The new end date of the JAM program aligns with the extension of the Shared Spaces pandemic program.
April 28, 2022

The JAM or “Just Add Music” permit program has been extended through March 31, 2023*. This extension aligns with the extension of the Shared Spaces pandemic program that was recently approved by the Board of Supervisors. See the new Shared Spaces compliance timeline.

If your business has an active JAM permit with ongoing outdoor entertainment or amplified sound, your JAM permit is automatically extended through March 31, 2023. This automatic extension is only approved for JAM permit holders that continue to have a property approval in good standing, like a Shared Spaces or ISCOTT permit, for their outdoor premises.

If you have any questions about your JAM permit, or would like to request an amendment to your permit, contact the Entertainment Commission at entertainment.commission@sfgov.org or 628-652-6030 at least two weeks before your performance or event. Please reference the JAM permit number in your amendment request (ex. JAM-###).

We will announce closer to 2023 what you can do to transition your JAM permit to a new permit after the pandemic emergency. Sign up for our newsletter for updates
