A couple talks to a financial planner in a room full of similar meetings

Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 9 am to 3 pm, at the Main Library, Civic Center.

You can meet one-on-one with a qualified Certified Financial Planner™ professional. You can discuss your personal finance questions, concerns, and interests.

It's a great opportunity to talk to an expert about your financial issues. The financial planners can answer your questions about:

  • budgeting
  • debt management
  • retirement planning
  • investment strategies
  • income taxe
  • insurance

You can talk to a financial planner one-to-one or as a couple. You can speak to someone in English, Spanish or Chinese.

We're running workshops on many topics, including:

  • saving and paying for college
  • planning with student loans
  • tax planning
  • investing basics
  • marriage
  • financial planning

Local nonprofits will talk about understanding credit and how to get started with your budget.

There are no strings attached. Financial planners volunteer their time. They will not pass out business cards, marketing materials or sell you products or services.

Hosted by the San Francisco Public Library, in partnership with the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and the San Francisco Treasurer's Office. We help 300 to 400 Bay Area residents each year.
