We want to clarify Friday’s message about online over-the-counter (OTC) permits.
Many OTC no-plans permits can be issued instantly online without having to come to the Permit Center. California licensed contractors who have registered with DBI can go online to immediately obtain certain OTC no-plans permits through our website. The permits that you can get online include electrical, plumbing and mechanical, reroofing, boiler operations, and kitchen and bath remodels. All California licensed contractor restrictions apply to the scope of work for each type of permit available online.
Already this year, we’ve issued more than 800 OTC trade permits instantly online and encourage you to try it for your next project.
