    2. II. OLD BUSINESS

      A. NAVIGATION CENTERS     (Discussion/Action)

      The Subcommittee will discuss Standards of Care in Navigation Centers.

      B. CHANGE TO SOC #21         (Discussion/Action)

      The Subcommittee will discuss whether to recommend augmenting SOC #21 for all shelters to require notice be posted in all threshold languages that translation services are available.

      Public Comment will be heard before any proposed action.

      Proposed Action: Vote to recommend addition to SOC #21.

    3. III. NEW BUSINESS

      A. DRAFT RESOLUTION          (Discussion/Action)

                                                  Subcommittee Member Plunkett     15 min

      The Subcommittee will discuss and vote on a draft resolution that calls on responsible city departments to improve data gathered on homelessness (e.g., the PIT count) to better address racial inequities.

      Explanatory document - Draft Resolution Public Comment will be heard before any proposed action.

      Proposed Action: Vote to recommend that the SMC approve the resolution.

      B. WARM SHOWERS                 (Discussion/Action)

                                                      Subcommittee Chair Avalos    10 min

      The Subcommittee will decide whether to propose that SOC #3 be revised to require that warm water be available for showers at all shelters.

      Public Comment will be heard before any proposed action.

      Proposed Action: Vote to recommend change to SOC #3 to the full Committee.

      Members of the public may address the Committee on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Committee for up to three minutes. With respect to an action item [denoted by “Proposed Action” after the agenda item] on the agenda, members of the public may address the Committee for up to two minutes at the time such item is called. With respect to a discussion item [denoted by “Discussion”] on the agenda, members of the public may address the Committee for up to one minute at the time such item is called. Members of the public may only speak once per agenda item. Public comment will be taken on each item being considered by the Committee prior to any action or vote. Those who comment may submit a written summary (up to 150 words) of their remarks to assist staff in the compilation of the meeting minutes.
