      Commissioners’ reports regarding recent activities in the community involving animal issues that have been discussed by the Commission in the past.

      A. Wild Parrots of San Francisco – Rescue and Rehabilitation Efforts by Mickaboo [Discussion Item] [Commissioner Torres] Sarah Lemarie, CEO of Mickaboo Companion Bird rescue, will present on her organization’s work helping wild birds in the bay area.

      B. Sulala Animal Rescue [Discussion/Action Item] [Commissioner Torres] The Commission will discuss the challenges faced by Sulala Animal Rescue in the Gaza Strip and will vote on a letter of support.

    Members of the public attending the meeting in-person will have an opportunity to provide public comment on every business item.

    Members of the public are also encouraged to provide public comment via email. Send an email message (with “Public Comment” in the email message’s subject line) to michaelangelo.torres@sfdph.org by 5:30PM the day before the meeting to ensure your comment is received by the Commission in advance of the meeting.

    Room 408 is wheelchair accessible. The closest accessible BART Station is Civic Center, three blocks from City Hall. Accessible MUNI lines serving this location are: #42 Downtown Loop, the #71 Haight/Noriega, the F Line to Market and Van Ness, and the Metro stations at Van Ness and Market and at Civic Center.     There is accessible parking at the following locations: two (2) designated blue curb spaces on the southwest corner of McAllister Street at Van Ness Avenue; the Performing Arts Garage (entrance on Grove Street between Franklin and Gough Streets), and at Civic Center Plaza Garage.
