      The Commission will hear a presentation and recieve updates regarding the Accessible Business Entrance Program. 

           

       

    4. BOS File #2112926 – Administrative Code – Amending the Family Friendly Workplace Ordinance (Discussion and Action Item)

      Presenter: Frances Hsieh, Legislative Aide to Supervisor Chan 

      The Commission will discuss and may take action on Ordinance amending the Administrative Code to provide under the Family Friendly Ordinance that Employees shall be permitted a Flexible or Predictable Working Arrangement unless such an arrangement would cause an Employer undue hardship; requiring Employers to engage in an interactive process to find a mutually agreeable Flexible or Predictable Working Arrangement; strengthening enforcement of the Ordinance; and making other changes.

       

    5. Update on Crime/Safety in Commercial Corridors (Discussion Item)

      Presenter: Deputy Chief David Lazar, SF Police Department

      The Commission will hear a presentation and receive updates regarding trends in criminal activity that impacts small businesses.

    6. Resolution Making Findings To Allow Teleconferenced Meetings Under California Government Code Section 54953(E) (Discussion and Action Item)

      The Commission will discuss and vote on a Resolution (1) that it has considered (or reconsidered) the circumstances of the state of emergency, and either (2a) that the state of emergency continues to directly impact the ability of members to meet safely in person, or (2b) that state or local officials continue to impose or recommend measures to promote social distancing.  

    7. Racial Equity Committee Update (Discussion Item)

      Presenter: Vice President Zouzounis, Committee Chair

      The Commission will discuss the set of evaluative questions (as a racial equity tool) which will provide a  lens to use for future policy analysis.

       

    8. Approval of Draft Meeting Minutes (Action Item)
    9. General Public Comment (Discussion Item)

      Allows members of the public to comment generally on matters that are within the Small Business Commission’s jurisdiction but not on today’s calendar, and suggest new agenda items for the Commission’s future consideration. 

    10. Director’s Report (Discussion Item)

      Update and report on the Office of Small Business and the Small Business Assistance Center, department programs, policy and legislative matters, announcements from the Mayor, and announcements regarding small business activities. 

    11. Commissioner Discussion and New Business (Discussion Item)

      Allows President, Vice President, and Commissioners to report on recent small business activities, make announcements that are of interest to the small business community, and make inquiries of staff. Allows Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for future consideration by the Commission.

    Commission hearings are held in Room 400 at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place in San Francisco (unless otherwise noted). City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices. Ramps are available at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister entrances.  Accessible seating for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs) is available. The closest accessible BART Station is the Civic Center station located at the intersection of Market, Hyde and Grove streets. Accessible Muni lines serving City Hall include 5 Fulton and 49 Mission/Van Ness, and all Metro lines servicing the Metro station at Van Ness and Market.  For more information about Muni accessible services, call 311. Accessible parking in the vicinity of City Hall is available adjacent to Davies Hall and the War Memorial Complex, and also in the Civic Center Garage (355 McAllister Street) and Performing Arts Garage (360 Grove Street). 

     

    Assistive listening devices, real time captioning, American Sign Language interpreters, readers, large print agendas or other accommodations are available upon request. Requesting accommodations at least 72 hours prior to the meeting will help to ensure availability.
