Government’s duty is to serve the public, reaching its decisions in full view of the public. Commissions, boards,
councils, and other agencies of the City and County exist to conduct the people’s business. This ordinance assures that deliberations are conducted before the people and that City operations are open to the people’s review. Per the American Disabilities Act and the Language Access Ordinance, Chinese, Spanish, and/or American Sign Language interpreters will be available upon request. Additionally, every effort will be made to provide a sound enhancement system, meeting materials in alternative formats, and/or a reader. Minutes may be translated after they have been adopted by the Commission. For all these requests, please contact the Commission Secretary at least 48 hours before the meeting at 415-252-2500. Late requests will be honored if possible. The hearing room is wheelchair accessible.
