Permit Center Special Events Services

We offer the following over the counter services and permits for special events.

Permit Center Hours of Operation

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm 
Wednesday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

SF Recreation and Park Department (RPD)

*Service Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the exception of holidays

SF RPD provides the following services at the Permit Center:
•    Picnic Site Reservations
•    Athletic Field Reservations (occasional/single day only)
•    Proof of Residency Verification for Athletic Field Reservations
•    Payment Processing (Check or Credit Card Only)
•    Consultations
All permits are available online at sfrecpark.org

San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD)

A Fire Department operational permit constitutes permission to maintain, store, use or handle materials, or to conduct processes which produce conditions hazardous to life or property, or to install equipment used in connection with such activities.

SF Department of Public Health

Food Safety Program: Temporary Food Facilities (TFFs) at Special Events

A Temporary Food Facility (TFF) is any person (or organization) intending to sell, give away, or sample food to the public from a fixed location for a period of time, not to exceed 25 days in a 90-day period, in conjunction with a community event.
