Most of our positions are filled through the City’s merit-based Civil Service Examination process, but hiring will vary depending on the type of position for which you apply.
The Controller’s Office Decentralized Examination Unit handles:
- Administering and coordinating recruitment
- Developing exams
- Administering and scoring exams
- Generating eligible lists for use by hiring departments
