If your complaint relates to a San Francisco sheriff deputy committing misconduct while on-duty in one of the five categories* that the Department of Police Accountability (DPA) has the authority to conduct an independent investigation, please follow the instructions on the link below to file the complaint directly with the DPA:

*Misconduct complaints investigated by the DPA:

(1) Use of force causing injury or death.

(2) Use of a weapon or control device.

(3) Sexual Misconduct.

(4) Pattern and practice of retaliation, harassment, or bias towards an inmate.

(5) Reckless disregard for inmate health or safety.
