Athletics and activities

Treasure Island YMCA

Operated by the YMCA of San Francisco.  Recreational programming, basketball courts, weights, fitness and cardiovascular equipment are available.  Free for Island resident use, initial registration required.

Treasure Island athletic fields for resident use

The below fields are open daily for Island resident recreation when not in use by SFLL or SFGAA.  Posted rules apply.

  • SF Little League field # 2 (Ketcham) (Avenue M at 8th Street)
  • SF Gaelic Athletic Association field (Avenue D at 13th Street)

Treasure Island playgrounds

Open daily for Island children and families.  Posted rules apply.  All adults must be accompanying a child. 

Report damage to the playgrounds through SF 311.

Treasure Island DIY skatepark

Open daily.  Posted rules apply.

Treasure Island Perimeter Path

A multi-use public path for walking/running/bicycling along Treasure Island's northern shoreline.

Gardening and nature

Treasure Island Community Garden

Managed by Indigenous Permaculture. The Community Garden offers the Island community an opportunity to learn about traditional approaches to agriculture and food security.

  • Gateview Avenue at Exposition Drive 

Treasure Island/Yerba Buena Island Public Stewardship Program

Managed by TIDA and San Francisco Environment.  The Stewardship Program seeks to connect the Island community to nature existing on both Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands. 

Current on-Island volunteer opportunities are available through Golden Gate Audubon Society and Literacy for Environmental Justice..  

Dog park

Treasure Island dog park

Open daily for Island community use.  Posted rules apply.  Humans must be accompanied by a dog.
