About the program

Chinese Body, Mind, and Soul is a wellness program from the Chinatown Public Health Center that supports Chinese faith-based organizations in San Francisco.

We partner with low-income churches in San Francisco to conduct different church activities, like:

  • Healthy eating and physical activity workshops
  • Health fairs
  • Healthy cooking classes
  • Healthy Sundays
  • Food committee trainings

Our aim is to help church members reduce the risk of obesity and other chronic diseases by promoting healthy eating and active living, with the support of:

  • Committed church pastors or leaders
  • Church activities 
  • Church environments 

Exercise program

This program offers weekly yijin exercise classes in Cantonese.

You can participate online. We open registration twice a year.
