Request naloxone for your community organization, business, or group to distribute in the community. Email overdoseprevention@sfdph.org or visit the BHS Pharmacy.

Please note that an attestation of training (materials are provided on the request form) will be required. The request will take 1-2 weeks to fulfill and instructions for pickup will be provided once the other is ready.

We offer a range of residential treatment services that help people withdraw, stop using substances, or transition to secure housing, such as:
Withdrawal Management (aka detox)
Overnight treatment facilities to withdrawal from substances in a supervised setting.
Residential Treatment Programs
Stay in a treatment facility.
Residential Step-down Programs
Temporary living for people experiencing homelessness who have completed a residential treatment program.
Start medication to treat opioid addiction
Buprenorphine and methadone are two medications that are the most effective treatment for opioid addiction. They help people cut back or stop opioid use, improve overall health, and reduce risk of overdose.
Telehealth and Navigation Program
To speak with a medical professional about medication treatment for addiction to fentanyl, heroin, or opioid pills, call the Telehealth and Navigation Program.
The program also offers in-person navigation support to help people get their prescriptions, develop treatment plans and connect to other services.
