Types of Care We Provide

Laguna Honda offers short-term rehab and long-term nursing care in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility in the Forest Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. Our care teams of nurses, doctors, social workers, physical and occupation therapists, activity therapists, and dieticians work together to support the highest level of functioning. Neighborhood Model

We are organized into 13 neighborhoods, made up of approximately 60 residents, all of whom are most likely participating in a similar care program. The neighborhood model provides a smaller community within the larger Laguna Honda community and allows for consistent care.

A Beautiful & Modern Facility

Laguna Honda was rebuilt in 2010, and is a LEED silver certified, state-of-the-art facility. It offers plenty of access to natural light and the colors of nature, creating a healthy and healing environment. Learn more.

Our Campus

Our 62 acres west of Twin Peaks includes a therapeutic farm with sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, and cats. We also have a greenhouse for planting and gardening, and plenty of beautiful landscaped outdoor space for visiting with family and friends.

Activity Therapy

The Activity Therapists are a dynamic group that enables residents with physical, cognitive, emotional and/or social limitations to maximize their quality of life and reach optimal health through meaningful participation in recreation and leisure. Activities include arts and crafts, general exercise, games, animal-assisted therapies, and music.
