We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 2 pm.
Tungkol sa
Contractors that supply textile apparel, garments, and corresponding accessories, materials, supplies, or equipment are prohibited from manufacturing or assembling those goods in sweatshop conditions, as defined by the ordinance. The Sweatfree Procurement Advisory Group consists of 11 members. The Mayor and the Board of Supervisors each appoint 5 members and the Controller's appoint 1 member. Members have experience representing employees in labor matters, acquiring goods or services for a public entity, or are advocates for human rights or the poor. The Controller's appointee must have experience in finance, financial auditing, or accounting.
