Blood and Body Fluid Exposure (formerly Needlestick Hotline)

► Steps after a needlestick, splash, or other body fluid exposure:

  1. Clean / Skin: wash with soap &water. Eyes/nose/mouth: wash with normal saline

  2. Call / Call hotline listed below

  3. Notify / Tell your supervisor about the exposure

 

► Blood & Body Fluid Exposure Hotline: 415-469-4411, available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

 

► Available to any City and County of San Francisco employees, students, and UCSF staff/students exposed at any DPH facility.

 

► HIV & Hepatitis B & C Prevention, Treatments, Confidential Counseling & Testing.
