    1. Request for permanent financing for 2901 16th street

      Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) requests up to $30,000,000 in Small Sites Program funding from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development for the permanent financing of the property located at 2901 16th Street, a project comprised of 63 residential units and eight commercial spaces located in San Francisco's Mission district. MOHCD permanent financing will fund the building's acquisition, rehabilitation, and permanent conversion to affordable housing.

    2. Request for LOSP contract financing for 600 7th street

      Mercy Housing California 97, L.P., a California limited partnership, an affiliate of the Sponsor, Mercy Housing (“Mercy”) requests $31,449,520 in General Funds from the Local Operating Subsidy Program (“LOSP”) to subsidize the operations of 120 permanent supportive housing units for formerly homeless families, out of a total of 221 units that serve extremely low- to low- income families, for a period of 15 years. Located at 600 7th St near the intersection of 7th Street and Brannan Streets, the Project is an eight story Type I concrete building built on a large, 37,800 square foot lot, with two distinct family and supportive housing wings, ground floor community serving commercial spaces, offices, community rooms, service spaces, and a 24-hour desk clerk.

       

      Mercy Housing California 97, L.P. & Episcopal Community Services (ECS)

    3. Request for rehab financing for William Penn Hotel

      Chinatown CDC requests $3,958,725 in rehabilitation funding for William Penn Hotel as awarded through the 2023 Existing Non-Profit Notice of Funding Availability (ENP NOFA). The project consists of 90 Single Room Occupancy (SRO) units and 1 one-bedroom unit. Out of these, 10 units provide housing for formerly homeless adults with substance use and/or mental health issues under a Direct Access to Housing contract with the Department of Public Health. The remaining 81 units are available to households at 50% AMI or below, with the current average household income being 19% AMI. The property is currently operating with a negative cash flow and faces significant life safety, essential, and long-overdue maintenance challenges that require immediate attention.
