Request water flow information

Hydrant water flow data is required for most fire sprinkler and site permit applications.

Qué debe hacer

1. Get your information ready

We will ask you about:

  • the address and cross streets of the project
  • which street you want to connect to supply the fire sprinkler system
  • details about the building like occupancy type and hazard classification

You can learn more about the definitions and relevant code on the Water Flow Information Request FAQ page.

2. Submit an information request

Complete the Water Flow Information Request form

3. Make a payment

After you submit a request, you will receive an email with your invoice number and payment instructions. You can pay online or in person with check or credit card.

At the Permit Center, check in at the Help Desk. Ask to be put into the queue for the Fire Department. Fire staff will help you process your payment.

For Permit Center hours of operation, see the Permit Center website.

4. Receive your information

The information you requested will be sent to the email you provided in the form.

If a field flow test is not required, a records search will take a minimum of 10 working days from receipt of payment. If a field flow test is required, it will take a minimum of an additional 5 working days.
