Refuse Rate Board Meetings And Related Events
The Refuse Rate Board reviews the costs and operations of San Francisco refuse collectors and adopts rate orders with the goal of maintaining rate stability and accountability based on evidence and records made during public hearings. The Refuse Rate Board is composed of the City Administrator (chair) the General Manager of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, and an appointed Ratepayer Representative.

Meetings
Refuse Rate Board meetings will be in-person
No Refuse Rate Board meetings have been scheduled yet. The public can attend meetings in City Hall. Meeting times and locations will be posted once available.
About
In June 2022, San Francisco voters passed Proposition F to reform the City’s refuse rate setting process. The Refuse Rate Administrator has initiated the rate-setting process and is accepting rate change request forms. Public meetings will begin in March. New rates will be determined by the Refuse Rate Board this summer and will go into effect October 1st, 2023.
