About
The Mayor's Office on Disability was established in 1998 as the City’s overall ADA Coordinator. On April 1, 2025, MOD moved to the SFHSA Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) and was renamed the San Francisco Office on Disability and Accessibility (ODA). This move allows ODA and DAS to work more closely to support San Franciscans with disabilities. We have six full-time employees with extensive experience and knowledge of disability rights laws and accessibility standards.
Appointments and walk-ins are welcome at 1455 Market Street, Floor 13B, Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- For walk-ins: Our new building security guidelines require walk-in visitors to register at the front desk and show proof of identification.
- To schedule an appointment: Call (415) 554-0670 or email ODA@sfgov.org.
- Request reasonable accommodations: We strive to provide reasonable accommodations as soon as possible. For accommodations that require advance preparation –
- such as American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation or materials in Braille – please submit your request at least 72 hours before your visit.
