Meet the people behind San Francisco’s street response

San Francisco’s Coordinated Street Response Program provides multidisciplinary resources that involve many public agencies working closely together.

The Program includes specialized street response teams who work together to provide compassionate care to those in need on the street.

Street Response Team Members

Claudia.

Meet Claudia

I’m a behavioral health clinician with the City’s street response teams. I work alongside paramedics and peer counselors. We help build trust, provide emotional support, and connect people to the help they need.

I feel great when I can help someone. That’s why I got into the work.

Erica

Raquel

Meet Raquel

I am an emergency dispatcher. Call 911 if you are worried about someone’s safety on the street.

Tell a dispatcher:

  • Where is the emergency? What is happening?
  • Who is involved?
  • Is anyone injured?
  • Is there a weapon?

A dispatcher like me will figure out if a street response team trained in trauma- informed care and de-escalation is the best resource for the situation.
