The Workforce Development Division supports workers by:

  • Designing programs and promoting services that respond to the needs of job seekers
  • Coordinating, refining and maintaining city-wide strategies and policies to maximize hiring opportunities for all San Franciscans
  • Engaging all stakeholders such as employers, educational institutions, and service providers to train residents in the skills needed to find and retain jobs today and tomorrow
