Visit parks safely

The City is keeping parks and trails open. It has closed most other recreational facilities and programs.

What to do

We issued a new Health Order on March 31. We are updating all of our guidance across now. Some pages may not be updated yet.

Our Stay Home order allows for walks, hikes and bike rides if you are under 60 and healthy.

When using our parks, stay 6 feet away from anyone else. Cover your mouth and nose if you cough or sneeze. Use hand sanitizer, and wash your hands before and after you go out.

Why are we keeping our parks open?

Parks are critical to our mental health and physical wellbeing. This is especially important  in times of stress.

Research tells us  20 minutes a day in nature significantly lowers stress hormones. Regular exercise also improves your cardiovascular health and immune system.
