Thanks! 00:28:06 Saki Bailey: Is this document the most updated? Does it incorporate the changes in the redlined document that was distributed called Draft 08-17? 00:29:35 Saki Bailey: And could CCHO share with everyone their redlined version? 00:30:47 Fernando Martí (he/him) | HSFOB: Charlie take it away, you have till 4:36 00:32:59 MOHCD Zoom1: Hi Carrie - I will upload and link to once they are uploaded! 00:33:27 carriekingman: Great, thanks! 01:16:02 Hope Williams: That's a great question! 01:27:45 Saki Bailey: Yes interim basis I think is critical. I really hope we will get a process of updating regularly without an incredible intensive process as the one MOHCD/community groups have gone through now 01:31:50 Saki Bailey: I agree Gen. There are a lot of barriers to co-op creating through the program. And not all co-ops are a good fit for the program with the DAHLIA aspect of the program. In the group housing context, DAHLIA is not appropriate when people are sharing intimate spaces like kitchens and bathrooms. As the ED of the only group housing co-ops in the Small Sites program, I can say that even with the group housing procedures which allow residents to interview a group 5, it does not work. We have had a consultant working with us to follow the procedure for the entire year of 2022-2023 to fill vacancies in those units and after a year all five vacancies are still vacant. 01:32:39 Saki Bailey: Co-ops need more flexibility than the Small Sites program currently allows 01:33:06 Saki Bailey: DAHLIA should not be the only way to fill vacancies particularly for group housing 01:33:34 Saki Bailey: DAHLIA on the other hand I think is very compatible with LEHCs in Muti-unit (non group housing). 01:33:57 Saki Bailey: But all of this actually needs to get addressed and discussed and there seems to be no interest in doing that 01:36:17 Saki Bailey: * sorry above I meant to say 2021-2022 01:40:57 Saki Bailey: Recommendation: We would like 1) to finalize the guidelines along the lines of what CCHO and ADC have recommended 2) to make additional recommendations for change to the Small Sites/Housing Preservation guidelines to address innovative housing models like Co-ops and PRECs and 3) to see/realize steps for co-op formation to be incorporated into the Small Site program and MOHCD to be partners with us in working those out through a streamlined process (not like the process we went through since March). 01:41:24 shanti (she/her): I have to hop off soonish just FYI! 01:46:40 Hope Williams: I need to hop off. Thank you for having me. Kyra, it was a pleasure meeting you! 01:48:41 Saki Bailey: 1) & 2) above + 3) Qualified by a step to make a working group to make a recommendation to the HSFOB board to work on a resolution on 2) 01:50:15 Joseph Smooke: SFADC: thank you all! 01:52:01 shanti (she/her): I have to leave but thanks all! 01:55:14 Charlie Sciammas, Council of Community Housing Organizations: thank you all!
