Syd Zelenak
Syd Zelenak is an Inspector with the San Francisco Entertainment Commission. Syd has roots in visual arts, health education, and dance, but she first found her spark when she attended her favorite pop star’s concert at 8 years old. She deepened her joy of live music while living in Detroit, Michigan and Melbourne, Australia, going to shows weekly and discovering safe spaces to thrive.

Since arriving on the San Francisco music scene in 2015, she has worked in many roles in the entertainment industry, including ticketing, audio and visual production, house management, bartending, security, marketing, and building maintenance. Before working with the Entertainment Commission, Syd worked as the General Manager for Rickshaw Stop and was instrumental in its reopening efforts during COVID-19.
Syd is happy to be recognized as the first woman in the Inspector role at the Entertainment Commission! Syd is looking forward to developing lasting relationships with members of our local entertainment industry, and hopes to one day run an event space of her own.
