The legislation reduces barriers to building affordable housing in San Francisco by waiving certain Department of Building Inspection fees for qualifying projects.
Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development Director Kate Hartley will step down on July 26, and Deputy Director Dan Adams will assume the role of Acting Director.
The Bond, proposed by Mayor London Breed and Board of Supervisors President Norman Yee, will appear on the November ballot and, if approved by voters, will fund the creation and preservation of affordable housing in San Francisco.
