Clean technology payroll expense tax exclusion
San Francisco provides a payroll expense tax exclusion for up to 10 years to eligible clean technology companies. To be eligible, your business must be in San Francisco at employ fewer than 100 employees.
The SF Film Office offers the "Scene in San Francisco" rebate program. Qualifying productions are eligible for a refund of all payroll tax and city fees up to $600,000 per production.
State
The California Competes Tax Credit is available to businesses that want to come to California or stay and grow in California.
Manufacturing and Research and Development Exemption
The Manufacturing and Research and Development Equipment Exemption is a partial tax exemption for eligible equipment purchases and leases.
The NEC is available to qualified taxpayers that have hired a full-time employee on or after January 1, 2014 and payed wages for work by that employee.

The US Department of the Interior supports the preservation of historic buildings through federal tax incentives.
Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC)
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit is an income tax credit for employers who hire employees from eligible groups including youth, ex-offenders, and public assistance recipients.
