Manage how you receive child support payments

Child support can be put into your bank account or onto a prepaid debit card.

Anong gagawin

1. Decide how you want to be paid

You have two options:

  • Direct deposit to your bank account
Have child support payments sent to your checking or savings account.
  • Electronic payment card (EPC)
We’ll put your payment on a prepaid debit card. You can use it to buy things in stores or online. You don’t need a bank account or Social Security number to get one.

2. Set up your account

You'll select how to get paid when you follow the prompts online.

  1. Go to the California State Disbursement Unit
  2. Select Person Receiving Support
  3. Register your account

Issues with payment

Issues with payment

If you have not gotten paid, you can check your account status:

If you didn’t receive the full amount of your child support payment, it might be because:

  • The person paying had a change of job or income
  • The person paying had a change in family size or number of their child support cases
  • You were charged an annual service fee

For questions about the amount you received, check your account at Customer Connect. Call or email us if you still have questions.
