Bicycle and pedestrian access to Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island

Ride safely on-Island and follow all traffic signage.

Connecting from the East Bay

The Bay Bridge East Span path connects to Yerba Buena Island's Macalla Road at the Yerba Buena Island Vista Point.  Bicycle access and pedestrian access from the East Span path onto YBI Macalla Road is now open seven days a week.

Connecting from San Francisco

There is not a bicycle/pedestrian connection between Yerba Buena Island and San Francisco.

The SFMTA MUNI 25 bus and the Treasure Island Ferry both accommodate bicycles.

Bay Bridge East Span Path

Opened to the public in 2013, the Bay Bridge Trail carries bicyclists and pedestrians across the East Span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, connecting the Oakland shoreline with Yerba Buena Island.

Yerba Buena Island Vista Point

The YBI Vista Point is the western end of the Bay Bridge East Span Path and is open to cyclists and pedestrians on the same schedule as the Path.

There are restrooms, benches, a hydration station, and bike racks. Enjoy sweeping views of the Bay Bridge, San Francisco Bay and Oakland.
