Protocol in Response to Resident COVID-19 Case(s)
When Laguna Honda identifies a resident, or residents, who tests positive for COVID-19, the facility goes on outbreak status, and the following steps are taken:
- Isolation of positive or symptomatic resident(s)
- Contact investigation initiated to identify close contacts
- Exposed residents and staff are monitored more frequently for signs or symptoms of COVID-19
- COVID-19 case(s) reported, as required by mandated regulatory agencies
- Increased testing of residents and staff as indicated
- Increased personal protective equipment (PPE) as indicated
- Visits are critical for the health and wellness of our residents. Laguna Honda complies with current visitation criteria as specified by regulatory agencies for visitation during times of increased community transmission or facility outbreaks.
