Tenderloin 中心已於 2022 年 12 月 4 日停業。

此中心是三藩市 Tenderloin 緊急項目設立的一個臨時站點,旨在降低藥物濫用死亡率、鼓勵人們善用公家服務,並為未來即將設立的站點與服務收集資料。

  • The Tenderloin Emergency Initiative transitioned to Phase III, Sustained Operations, under the leadership of the City Planning Department on 7/1
  • The Equity and Community Engagement team held a listening session with the Downtown Investments in Arts and Culture group 6/27

  • Adjusted operations for multiple planned and spontaneous events, including the Golden State Warriors celebration on June 20 and SF Pride events and parade on June 26.
  • Tenderloin Center engaged guests and others in the area about increased enforcement of public drug use to provide information on place-based and outpatient treatment options
  • Shelter availability limited citywide, resulting in fewer placements than in other operational periods

Highlights for operational period 27:

  • The Tenderloin Center (TLC) will sustain operations through December 31, 2022
  • The TLC expanded hours for the living room for guests exploring sobriety from 9 am to 5 pm
  • Urban Alchemy activated the north side of McAllister between Jones and Leavenworth and also Jones between McAllister and Golden Gate for public safety, engagement, and de-escalation; community stakeholders provided positive feedback on Urban Alchemy’s extended deployment hours in the Theater District

  • Continued outreach to prepare for vendor-free area of UN Plaza
  • Increased enforcement and engagement in priority places like the Theater District, Larkin between Grove and McAllister, Golden Gate between Jones and Larkin, and the Market street corridor
  • The Coronado Hotel, a supportive housing site, had 16 placements through the Tenderloin Center into 18 rooms that were previously vacant

  • Continuing to get responses on the Tenderloin public polling survey, through both paper and online submissions

  • Shelter availability was limited with very few non-congregate options
  • The Tenderloin public survey, available in Chinese, English, Filipino, Khmer, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese, has so far received 850 responses; Arabic translations of the survey coming in the next operational period

  • The Tenderloin Center continued to transition to sustained operations, with 180 new hires and contracted personnel receiving training
  • Continued efforts to mitigate problem behaviors in UN Plaza, including addressing illegal vending and offering Tenderloin Center resources and connections to individuals in the Plaza. 
  • Data for Reducing Homelessness and street sleeping in the Tenderloin revised to account for housing assessments done at the Tenderloin Center

Highlights for operational period 19:

  • The Tenderloin Center started implementing specialized tools and methodologies for tracking improvements and for long-term space planning
  • “Urban Oasis, a Public Space for Peaceful People” at Hyde and Turk now open to the public from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for social activities, washrooms, and daytime storage for guests
  • Improvements in the UN Plaza continued for safe passage

  • Continued  transitioning of Tenderloin Center (TLC) from emergency to long-term, sustainable operations and staffing
  • Improvements made in the area around the TLC to increase access and safe passage, including increased tree pruning, adding more Urban Alchemy practitioners, and getting approval for more lighting
  • Continued work with community stakeholders on drafting a unified approach to healthier and safer streets

  • Listening sessions held at St. Anthony’s located at 826 Valencia, at the Tenderloin People’s Congress, and with residents and property managers from the 300 block of Hyde & 400 block of Eddy

  • A new public-facing dashboard to show progress for the goal area of "reducing fatal and non-fatal overdoses" is now live
  • Operational Period 15 showed a 41% decrease in street sleeping in the Tenderloin neighborhood since the beginning of the Tenderloin Emergency Initiative
