Dolores & Oak Street Renovation Project

Baker Places, Inc. has received funding from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development to support the design, permitting and installation of a multi-site renovation project at two properties. The first property is 214 Dolores Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 and the second property is located at 484 Oak Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. Baker Places, Inc. is requesting statements of qualifications and proposals from companies with extensive experience in property renovations with the work specified in the Request for Qualifications under the section titled Scope of Services of the Design-Build Contractor which includes but is not limited to, flooring replacement, painting, plumbing, electrical, security upgrades, demo and removal of existing equipment, HVAC upgrades and other general building renovations.

1030 Oakdale - Roof Replacement

Full roof replacement project located at 1030 Oakdale Avenue, San Francisco.  All necessary labor, materials and permits are required under a licensed contractor's supervision.  The existing roof systems need to be removed and materials disposed of by the contractor.  The underlying structure must be evaluated for repairs, and a separate proposal for necessary repairs must be approved prior to any work.  New roofing systems need to be installed.

GC for Multi-Family Exterior Rehab

San Francisco Community Land Trust (“SFCLT”) is seeking a general contractor for an exterior rehab project at a group housing residential building in San Francisco. This project is being funded with MOHCD through the Preservation and Seismic Safety Program (PASS) and other local funds. The Rehab work is an exterior repair and repaint project that is envisioned to include removal of exterior vertical wainscotting and deteriorated horizontal siding, new insulation, waterproofing membrane, new siding, and paint of the entire rear façade.

2550 Irving - Special Inspections

TNDC, the developer of the parcel at 2550 Irving Street (the “Site”), intend to construct an affordable rental housing project including units serving formerly homeless households and ground-floor resident services and management offices. In September 2020, TNDC was awarded funding through MOHCD’s Notice of Funding Availability for the acquisition and pre-development of the proposed development. TNDC is working with Pyatok Architects on design, and securing entitlements. Waypoint Consulting is providing Construction Management services. Guzman Construction is the General Contractor.

Precita Lift Project

The project is located at 534 Precita Avenue, San Francisco, California, 94110. The scope of work includes installation of an inclined platform chair lift to provide ADA accessibility between the gymnasium level and the elevated stage/kitchen. The contractor shall provide the vertical chair lift, devices, and all necessary materials needed. The contractor shall also provide all electrical components and structural reinforcements to support the use of the chair lift.

William Penn Hotel - Plumbing Upgrades

Chinatown Community Development Center invites and welcomes proposals (which include qualifications and bids) from qualified contractors for their Plumbing Upgrade & Repairs Project located at the William Penn Hotel.

The project associated with this RFP is the William Penn Hotel (the “Property”), a 91-unit Single Room Occupancy (SRO) building that serves very low-income adults.  The SRO units are for the most part single rooms with 46 units having a private bath and the remaining units having an in-room vanity sink.  The building is located at 160 Eddy St, San Francisco, California 94102.

Leland House - Project Management Support Svcs

PRC is soliciting Statements of Qualifications for Project Management Support Services for a building renovation project located at 141 Leland Ave in San Francisco, California.  Leland House is a 45-unit complex, approximately 27,000 square feet, located within the Visitacion Valley neighborhood.  

Project Management Support Services may include selection of project team members (architect, GC, engineer, etc.), coordination among team members, facilitation of team meetings, developing/revising budget, obtaining permits, negotiating pricing, procurement, managing change orders, invoicing, technical activities to close out the project, delivery of operating manual and warranties to owner.
