Adult shelter reservation waitlist
It is your responsibility to know your position on the waitlist. When you see instructions to claim your bed, you must do so within 3 days.
Check your position and be reachable by phone
A Shelter Reservation Agent must be able to reach you by phone within 3 days of when you reach the top of the waitlist.
An agent will call you between 10:00am and 12:00pm from 415-861-5000 (this number does not accept calls). We recommend adding this number to your contacts list.
If we cannot reach you, we will remove you from the waitlist. You will be able to re-enter the waitlist, but you will move to the bottom.
Your Waitlist ID
In most cases, your Waitlist ID is your date of birth and 2 initials.
For example, Michael Jackson with date of birth 8/19/1958 will have a Waitlist ID of 08191958MJ.
If you provided a different date or name and cannot remember it, we have no way to help you locate your record.
